giselles.co.uk is run by Giselle Burns, who has been designing and working as a professional photographer for the last 15 years. Having achieved a Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts, she went onto teach at Melbourne University as well as run her own graphics and photography business in Melbourne. Finding love during a short trip to the UK 7 years ago, she now lives here permanently with her husband (yep! The man she met 7 years ago), step daughter Yolanda, terrier Taz and a baby on the way! Her design skills are regularly held up as examples of clean and innovative design.

She is surrounded by an excellent team of professional designers, photographers and developers who all strive to achieve the very best in quality for our clients.

In 2003, Giselle won the LWT & Lycos "Whose London?" website award for Best New London Web Designer. The site was based around her experiences of London, since arriving here from Melbourne, Australia.. Giselle’s unique and distinctive design met the judge’s criteria of, originality, conciseness of content, clean sharp graphics, consistency, balance, and ease of use. The judges included website usability guru Jakob Nielsen and Director of the Design Museum, Alice Rawsthorn.

Giselle has also become a keynote speaker for the Prince’s Trust, telling her story to many groups. Including as a guest speaker at ‘Talking Dinners’ – Eating with Intent. An event hosted by Douglas Alexander Esq, MP, Minister of State, Cabinet Office, held in the House of Commons, she spoke about her business beginnings, and the obstacles overcome to create the successful company she runs today.
